Today's rant:

Where are those cruise missiles? Recent solar flares (on the 17th and 18th) were detected by the SOHO satellite at the L1 Lagrangian point 1.5 million miles towards the sun. In the days afterward, GPS systems could be adversely affected by increased solar activity. I think we're waiting for the solar radiation to subside before the "shock and awe" phase begins. If Saddam keeps launching his missiles at us, I expect us to just start carpet bombing his troops. There's a tactic currently to take out his ground-to-air capabilities currently under way.

Damages are likely to exceed $100 as tornados strike mobile home parks in rural southern Georgia. Need I say more?

Russia, France, Germany and China condemn the war against Iraq "in spite of the principles and norms of international law." Pffffffffffffffffffffft. The Chinese have no regard for international laws. Just ask Bill Gates. They steal software, movies, and music with reckless abandon. They censor the Internet. They are no one to talk. Russia, the country with a history of invading other nations with the intention of conquest and occupation, not liberation is another one that has no room to talk. Cut off their economic aid now. Screw them. Germany is apparently eager to keep dictators in place, so as not to distort their historical legacies. And France is still bitter because they've been in TWO World Wars without firing a shot. They lined their boulevards with trees, because the German troops like to march in the shade. I'd sooner take political advice from Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim bus stop F'tang F'tang Olé Biscuitbarrel.

Never bring a knife to a gun-fight. Saddam has asked his people to "draw [their] sword" against the U.S.-led troops. Duh. Which would you rather have, an M-4 rifle or a sword?

Some fat people have fat genes. See? It's not their fault that they stuff their pie-holes. It's genetics. Chromosomal abnormalities cause them to dial Papa John's and order too much pizza. Me, I don't blame genetics. I blame good cooking and the fact that I like to eat. Hey, I lost 30 pounds. By the way, I'm taking donations for a new suit.

On a more personal note, I just want to take a moment to thank my wife for making life worth living. Today I had some time to reflect, and I realized how important she is to me, and how much I rely on her. I also realized how lost I'd be without her. She puts up with me, and gives me the confidence I need to succeed. I hope in my heart that she knows how much she means to me. I look at our baby and it reminds me of everything good in her, and how happy I am to have her in my life.
