Michael Jackson. What are these parents thinking when they let their kids go to Neverland? How much of a dumbass do you have to be to send your kid to stay, UNSUPERVISED, with a man who has already been previously charged with child molestation? The last case was dropped (against case law, by the way) after Jackson paid his victim $20,000,000.00 to keep quiet. That's called witness tampering in most states. But California has always been one to scoff at the law anyway. In the state where O.J. Simpson wasn't convicted in spite of ample evidence, I can't believe they even bother to bring murder charges against anyone with more than a million dollars in the bank or a famous face. Of course, Jackson's finances have been questioned, and his face is, well, famous for not being his face. But not to slander the man - I will admit that I find some of his music pleasant. I remember huddling around the TV the night "Thriller" was premiered. I can't forget it. I was at a party with a group from my high school marching band. We all thought it was a great video, and even by today's "standard", it is great work.

However, you'd have to have an I.Q. below room temperature to leave your kid unattended with that freakshow.

I do feel sorry for Michael, though. He's no "smooth criminal". He can't go anywhere without being mobbed. I mean, think about it. Can you imagine spending your entire life sheltered from going out in public? Is it a surprise he can't lead a normal life? From an early age, he couldn't go to a public school, go to a supermarket, go to the mall, go to Wal-Mart.

So, now we get another Hollywood trial that's going to consume the media, and keep us from what truly threatens us.
