Today we have fun with poetry. Do you remember haikus? Well, today I was inspired by the Best of the Web Today, since I have no job to occupy my mind, and I came up with some haikus for the nine Democratic hopefuls. Here's my shot at poetry:
Dean:
Fellow angry left:
" Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor"
Not a President
Clark:
I supported war
Up until Bush was in charge
Now I'm against it
Lieberman:
I lost once to Bush
And I sound like Snagglepus
I waffle on Iraq
Kerry:
Haughty, French looking
That's not all! let's not forget
Served in Vietnam
Gephardt:
I'm raising taxes
Only I call it "repeal"
Hope you won't notice
Edwards:
Rolling back tax cuts
Let's shift the burden to pay
Tax those working stiffs!
Sharpton:
Goodbye, Hymietown
It's time for me to go and hide
Until the next time
Moseley Braun:
They say I can't win
But I live in fantasy
Dammit, they are right!
Kucinich:
A progressive choice
It's easy to pay for pork
When robbing others
With all of this talent, can you believe I'm not a poet laureate?
