The anti-Bush crowd is at it again. They will stop at nothing, and use every occassion to blame everything on Bush. I'm not just saying that. If a volcano erupted tomorrow, Bush would get blamed. It would be either his lack of a volcano policy, or environmental record called into question, or drilling in Alaska which would get the blame. Hiltary is the most prominent bitch, I mean politician to blame Bush for the power outage. But let's go back about two years and see what Cheney said about the power grid:

"The report we issued last month presented more than 100 recommendations covering virtually the entire range of concerns that face the American people. One of the concerns, obviously, is the aging power grid and the growing problem that we have in getting electricity from the power plant to the light switch. It's clear that we must upgrade and expand the power grid. If we put more connections in place, we'll go a long way towards avoiding future blackouts. Another broad aim is to increase energy supplies from diverse sources; from oil and gas, renewables, coal, hydro and nuclear. This is the kind of balanced approach we think is essential if we're going to meet the country's energy needs down the road and take care of many of our other concerns, especially with respect to the environment."
-- Vice President Dick Cheney, U.S. Energy Association Efficiency Forum Washington, D.C. June 13, 2001

So, Dick Cheney warned about our "aging power grid", and the politicians accused him of representing the interests of "big oil" (the current red herring). Now, that power grid has come back to bite 50,000,000 people in the butt, and the same morons are blaming Bush.

Now, I'm no Republican. I think they're policies towards personal freedoms are right out of the Stone Age. I'd expect more sensible things from that party, but their lust for religious conquest clouds their minds.

However, I can't just sit back and watch the Socialists villify Bush for everything without bringing some balance to view.

This weekend the Green (read: Communist/Red Socialist) Party said that they will enjoy playing "spoiler" in 2004 when they once again confuse Democrats who want to fall over themselves trying to get to the far left and steal votes from them. I will enjoy watching that party self-destruct. But I don't want them to take down common sense too. If you want to make social changes, you don't do that by throwing away the baby with the bathwater. The Democrats are like viruses, and the Greens are viruses that want to kill their host. That is just sad.

Now, this weekend was a slow news weekend, and I was busy celebrating my anniversary to Mrs. Spoogeworld, the greatest woman in the World. So, let's hope that Howard Dean or Al Sharpton talk publicly, since I need something funny (and stupid) to make fun of.

See what else I have to say Previous day's rant
