Eclipse showing this week
Another candidate for the Darwin Awards
Hit and run
It worked for O.J.

Eclipse showing this week. At 11:13 Thursday, a complete eclipse of the Moon will begin. The Moon will be in total eclipse for over 50 minutes, so it should be a good show. That is, as long as you have good weather. With my current luck, it will be overcast and/or raining. This should be visible all over North America, but Miami may get to see it too.

Another candidate for the Darwin Awards. A 17-yr-old girl died while sliding down a bannister in a museum in Chicago. For those who don't know what they Darwin Awards are, they're awards given (usually posthumously) to those individuals who've removed themselves from the gene pool, thus raising the average intelligence on the planet. I like to refer to these people as "untelligent".

Hit and run. It appears the son of Louis Farrakhan, Nasir Hussain Farrakhan (boy I love that middle name!) ran into the back of someone's Honda with his Hummer. Nasir, after causing about $5000 of damage to the Honda, left the scene, but was apprehended shortly thereafter. He was charged with "operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of personal injury accident and possession of drug paraphernalia". If this was any one of us, no doubt they would've said exactly what the "paraphernalia" was, especially if it was a crack pipe or heroin needle. Even more surprisingly, the news was pulled shortly after posting on Fox News' website, and I didn't even see it on CNN's website. My guess is that someone connected with the Nation of Islam made some calls to the media asking them to remove it from their site. It looks like Nasir was trying to get away from the accident "by any means necessary." I'm waiting for Louis to start claiming racism for his son's arrest.

It worked for O.J. Scott Peterson's lawyer, who did such a fine job for Winona Rider and Susan MacDougall, is at it again. Now he's looking for the "real killer" after reports that some neighbors saw a strange van in the neighborhood the day Laci disappeared. What beef would a stranger have with Laci? Why dump her body in the EXACT SPOT THAT SCOTT WAS FISHING IN? How unlucky is Scott Peterson? His wife's body being dumped exactly where he went fishing... what are the odds? Why did he need all of those cement weights he made? He has lied from the beginning. There is NO doubt in my mind that he is guilty. Guilty men don't let the police into their home without a warrant when their pregnant wife is missing. If it were me, they could set up operations in my house - anything to get my wife back! But he already knew that she was gone, and that there was evidence in his house.
