Another victory for the Second Amendment. The NAACP tried to sue 75 gun manufacturers, claiming that they knowingly and intentionally caused guns to fall into the hands of criminals and killed people. Notice they didn't sue the car manufacturers, which make devices that also fall into the hands of criminals, and also are used to kill people. Cars are intentionally sold to minorities, but they didn't sue GM, Ford, or Dodge. I wonder why? Guns don't kill people, postal workers do. You can't hold the manufacturer of a product liable unless they make a defective product. Any their argument wasn't that the guns sold to minorities didn't work as designed. When are people going to get it through their head that people have a Right to own guns in this Country. Look at the cities where guns are REQUIRED to be owned by all residents (with allowable exceptions). Crime rates there have plummetted while populations have grown. In Australia, when they asked people to turn in their guns, violent crimes shot up. When they allowed people to own guns again, crime went DOWN. Various groups keep trying to ban gun ownership, in spite of the fact that EVERY statistic shows that gun ownership increases are paired with lower crime.

Now you've gone too far. Dick Gephardt and Howard Dean were criticized by fellow Democrats as being far to the left. In simple terms, they are out of touch with the people of this country. They only care about control and power, and making other people pay for it. They believe that the Federal Government knows how you should live your life, and that you are incapable of providing for yourself. Are those ideals you want in your leadership? I'd be insulted.

Federal controls run amok. Not content to try to run the Healthcare industry, now the elected elite want to make it harder to buy "violent" video games. Who should be responsible for the video games that young people buy? The ass-darts in Washington think it should be them. Here's a novel idea: let's make PARENTS responsible for what their children buy. It's not a secret that some games are violent. They have clear labels warning anyone who gives a flaming turd of what content is contained within the game. Why do we need governmental interference in purchasing games? We need to remember that if we let them tell us which games we can buy, next it will be what TV shows we can watch. Then, it will be what books we can read. Think I'm wrong? In Georgia, they introduced legislation that made it a traffic violation to be driving a car without wearing a seat belt. People were hesitant, but were assured that the legislation only made the offence a "secondary" offence, meaning that they couldn't pull you over for it, but it they had another reason, they could ticket you for it. Then they changed the law to cover all people riding in the car. Then they made it a "primary" offence, meaning that they could pull you over for not wearing your seat belt, even though they PROMISED it wouldn't be used in that way. Now, they set up check points across the state at various times to enforce seat belt laws. That's what I'm afraid of. You give them an inch, they take a mile. You can never let down your guard.

French taunter. The French Ambassador to the U.S. claims that we're intentionally "smearing" their good name. That's like Charles Manson claiming that someone has called him a murderer. The French were supplying illegal parts to Iraq up until our attack. The list of illegal and immoral acts that they committed are well documented. The reason they tried to block a U.S.-led coalition was to cover their tracks, hoping that no one would find out how they were violating the U.N. embargo. We need to tell them to go get bent.
