OK, today was a slow news day. The biggest news was that Bush will run for President again. Yeah, like we didn't say THAT coming. Those knucklehead Democrats in Texas decided to return to work. I think they should forfeit their salaries for skipping town while there was work to be done. Then, they should get a spanking (preferably with something painful) for acting like little children.

One of these days, the Democrats will figure out that Bush wearing a flight suit isn't an issue for the average person. In fact, it helps many to relate to him. Of course, they still think that the problem with healthcare is that the government isn't in complete control of it. When they figure out that governmental regulations and interference costs a significant percentage of each healthcare dollar spent, maybe they'll get the hell out of that arena. Their "cost controls" just make the rest of us pay more. All of the people who can't afford healthcare just pass the cost onto us. I look at the track record of governmental control. Did they do a good job of running their own bank? How about their post office? How have they done running AmTrak? Are kids safer in schools today than 20 years ago? Are they healthier?

Do you want to feel safer today? How about the fact that 40% of the Federal Transportation Security Authority screeners haven't even had a BACKGROUND CHECK yet?

Spain is suing us for $5 Billion for the Presitge that sank of its coast. They are suing us (get this!) to find out IF the tanker was sea-worthy. They have no proof, but they filed a $5B lawsuit anyway. This suit should be tossed out unless Spain can offer any proof that the ship wasn't sea-worthy AND the Federal Government knew about it AND allowed them to sail anyway. Even then, the cost estimates from Spain were only $1B.

See what else I have to say Previous day's rant
